The worst part of socialized medicine is that it gives all the Nazi-wanabe nose buds, the power to target and harm groups of people they don’t like and/or want dead.
They constantly harass Brits with health care political agendas targeting “lessor” groups with “cost savings” or from a “higher health moral ground” to deny health care. It’s disgusting. They think they own your body and are your homicidal wicked stepmother.

Ok, I admit it. Rockets can be of limited use. Great for going in straight lines, not good for stopping at the corner and looking both ways before crossing...and the battery powered versions can be wonderful, but less than handy in tight quarters, so there a place for the leaner wheelchair...like, when one reaches the destination.
But then you know all of that sort of thing and far more, I'm sure...

LOL ... I still use two canes to walk, but it is slow, slower than I care to move. Too much hare still ‘coarsing’ through my veins I suppose.
The tax could be that you have to pay your weight in dollar bills.

Actually, there are some on this very site that would have posted your post with all seriousness. It was simply a reflection of the next step after socializing health care costs. Eventually even “conservatives” will advocate for such things, because “this or that costs the system more.”
I know and its a shame. The concept of liberty is dead in this country. We, as a culture, are so eager to punish each other and deprive them of their liberty. During the smoking tax and lawsuite money grab, I had to laugh to keep from crying. I remember my fathers friend going on and on about taxing the hell out of smokers. The three of us were fishing together on my dad’s boat, He knew i smoked but just kept at it. I was 20 maybe at the time. I finally told him that he was next. I said much more and in some harsh ways. He was 100 pounds over weight, high blood preasure, out of shape,.... Its was tough being 20 and a nuckle dragging constitutional conservative. It’s still hard as I have aged. It’s really a simple equation :
Liberty for all or its liberty for none.
