MCALLEN, Texas — Approximately 2,000 inmates at a federal detention center near the border that primarily houses immigration detainees rioted and set off fires, requiring a massive mobilization of law enforcement to secure the perimeter and restore order.
The uprising began Friday morning at the MTC Detention Center in Raymondville when a group of prisoners began getting agitated about the medical services in the private prison facility, KGBT reported.
The inmates broke out of the housing area and made their way into the recreational yard, prompting a lockdown of the prison. KGBT reported that the inmates set off fires in three separate units of the facility. They also tore down some of the tents used for their housing and shook the perimeter fence as they chanted their grievances.

As the tide of illegals encouraged by Obama keeps rolling in and the border forces to control them are reduced or neutered, maybe it is time to withdraw to the perimeter in circumstances like this, let the rioting and fires run their course and pick up whatever is left after it is over. This is no different than PC police forces that withdraw from riot areas and let the protected classes run amok.

My most hated phrase is “pro-choice”. Whenever a liberal says that I say, “you mean pro-abortion?” and it angers them. But abortion is the ONLY thing they want anyone to have a choice about.

To me, authorized use of assault scatter guns and long range sniping is warranted in prison riots. If they don’t like it here, they should have stayed in their own damned country.
The fence worked in California! Our double fence cut illegal traffic by approximately 95%.
As I pointed out in another thread, it doesn't stretch our entire border with Mexico and doesn't need to. The reason being is most of our mid and eastern border has few staging areas on either side. The same goes with most of Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas borders. They all have huge stretches of desert far removed from any highway or town.
Strategic placement of a double fence would do the job. Remind me again who killed the Congressional law for a fence.
