Where’d you get a pc in 1985? I had a commodore in 1984... I worked for Intel and got a luggage personal pc in 1985...our department at Intel didn’t get one until 1986...

We use to make Christmas wreaths out of punch cards. My late husband worked with computers when they were the size of refrigerators way back in the early 60’s. He built our first computer.

I remember those wreaths! Spray painted in holiday colors.
Thanks for the memory!

It stinks! Choose a word that it’s not familiar with and it changes it. Plus fat fingers need not apply.

My 86 year old aunt does too. I wish the forward button on her e-mail would break though. ;^)

I had access to an IBM PC dual floppy with green screen monochrome monitor and 512k of memory in 1985.

Same here. I tell everyone at work,”Do not text me.” I won’t read it and won’t respond.

My phome has a voice text option..... Hold the button and records voice to text, glance at it and push send after confirming autocorrect hasn’t insulted anyone.
Other good thing about text....if your out of voice range, text will still get a message out if yer in the boonIes .....worked well during Katrina when cell towers and power was down. No voice calls worked yet text’s were picked up at extreme ranges.
Text is just another tool in the toolbox.
Stay safe !

It’s the utter lack of “utility” that I hate.
It’s great to say hello etc...
But,
It seems that more and more people are abandoning their PC, with all it’s utility, in favor of, well, stupidity.

I hate it too, especially with a flip phone, but even with a smart phone I want no part of it.

Please don’t use your laptop behind the wheel.
I tire of the zero lane discipline. It wrecks my buzz when I’m riding . . .
