I always wondered about you....
It’s the lowest form of communication we have.....but it does have its uses.
The thing is, if I’m not Zotted early, the likelihood of both being Zotted and starting an undead thread seems to decline exponentially.
Someone should do a mathematical study of this.

For what it’s worth, I send people links, pictures etc via texts all the time on my Samsung. Phones can be frustrating though.
Oh, yeah, and typing with two thumbs, hunt and peck style. Huge step backward in technology.

I love texting...short and to the point...keeps me in touch especially with family without having to talk on the phone...I HAte PHONE CALLS....I did NOT get the phone gene...and I’m female
The last mathematical study I made was when I was trying to remember my birthday. I think I was born sometime between WWII and Woodstock, but I'm still researching the matter.
I am in agreement. Much easier to to communicate with children about grand children activities. Right now we are following three of them play ice hockey. 11 yo girl, 9 and 7 yo boys.

I like texting too. Quick message and its done. Remember the day when you call collect to your parents to let them know you arrived home safe, they of course didn’t accept the call, but the message was clear. Simpler times.
I was one of the early texters.
Back in the late 90’s Motorola used my company as a test bed with their text device that opened up like a clamshell to replace our pagers with. it soon became a pain in the ass with co-corkers texting questions every 10 minutes.
I have hardly texted ever since.
They definitely aren’t sausage finger friendly.

“I find texting better for me (and I’m 68). With a phone call you have to spend time saying hello, how are you, etc. and after your conversation you have to go through a closing ritual similar to the opening of the phone call.
With texting you get right to the meat of the call ... no opening, no closing, just the message. Works for me.”
Couldn’t agree with you more. I do a lot of my business interactions by text, whenever possible.
