If I make that annoying call, you'll answer? ;-) Honestly, it will be at least a month or two (winter), but I'll get a good license for HF. A little electronics experience is making the study material fairly easy.

Will probably start with a low, long, horizontal, folded dipole for vertical TX/RX (more for local on 40/80, peaks all around here) and figure out how we’re going to elevate something more for a long skip afterward. We’re looking at two 10-watt kits (only solar power available). Quite a challenge for newbies? We’ll see.
