We broke off work and covered up our stuff in the drizzle-this evening, another cold front is due here with below freezing temps turning the rain to global warming-the ice warnings are already up on the bridges and steep hills on the farm road...

The fed beast took its nap-

More of our income-if you work

It is a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation no matter what you do, I think. I’m actually glad now that I don’t have anything to invest-if my legal settlement is decent after taxes, I’ll pay cash for a place, build my cabin on it and keep anything left in a coffee can-I follow the family custom of being an independent contractor or business owner for life, so at least it was my choice to work from the gitgo-a lot of single women like me did not plan to work and are having a very bad time right now.

It is 68 here and drizzling, but that is going to hell this evening-the Siberian express is coming to turn the temps below freezing and the drizzle to sleet and snow...
Husky girl has a set of mutt sox booties if needed-she has sled dog snowshoe paws so it has never been icy/snowy enough for her to wear them-but they are plain-not silly looking like that picture.
My neighbor’s yappy Yorkie wears a poufy purple sweater when he is taken out in the cold-he looks absolutely ridiculous in the thing-like he’s being devoured by purple fuzz...

Yeah same here - 80 yesterday, high 70s now - muggy - we have every window open.... should be in the low 30s tonight

We almost never get sleet or snow - and even if we did it wouldn’t stick since the temps yesterday and today were so high. That is the one great thing about this area - we can have cold temps with almost NO chance of any difficulty on roads. That is nice. Will you get sleet/snow?
