Two things pop out at me: 1) standard model of cosmology holds, 2) we need bigger and better telescopes in space.

I personally would like to see the bigger and better telescopes in space more than I would a mission to Mars.

Wait, I thought the science was settled on Einstein’s theories. Are the Democrats aware of this debate?

Natural science is being overrun by data science. The narrative is up for grabs in “science”, as in every other institution.

None of it really matters now that the big bang has been called into question - we might not even exist except in Neo’s mind.....

"Two things pop out at me: 1) standard model of cosmology holds"

Yet the whole concept of "dark energy" is speculation as to why the standard model of cosmology does not conform to the observed data.

" the standard model of cosmology remains an excellent description of the universe."

Riiiigght. Except that the "standard model of cosmology" includes the early universe "inflation" period, where the "standard model of cosmology" DOESN'T hold.

Yet another Planck pulled out of the platform of settled science!
Soon, Albert will be a second stringer.

I, for one, am Fermi in the opposition, as the gravity of the situation is easy to discern!

Heisenberg was stopped for doing 85 in a 45mph zone. The sheriff shouted “Do you know how fast you were going?” Heisenberg replied, “No, but I know where I am.”
