I know what you mean. Those people are clueless...they don’t have any idea what the group has been through.

I have to disagree completely.

I think the whole point of Alexandria is they've been able to preserve much of their former lives, and our group is torn between their own experience and Alexandria's obvious success.

The best analogy I can think of is the conceit of a person for those who don't lock their doors at night when the simple fact is, given their geographic region, they really don't need to.

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that the Alexandria community has led a pretty sheltered existence so far - “lucky”, as Rick described them.

They (not Rick’s group) were lucky they were able to find this community with its own sources of power and water. They were lucky that they haven’t been exposed to the flu-like virus that decimated Rick’s group. They don’t appear to have been discovered by any other really bad groups of people like The Governor or Terminus. I’m kind of curious if they have ever encountered a really big herd of walkers.

The fact that they keep all of the weapons in a centralized location seems to indicate that their community hasn’t really had to deal with any serious threats so far. If they had, you would think that they would have the weapons and ammo. at least a little bit distributed to make it easier and faster to respond. JMO.

We’ll have to disagree. :)

At the beginning of the season, Rick, Daryl, and Glenn were bent over a trough, about to have their throats slashed like livestock. That’s just one thing they’ve experienced.

Then there was Carol having to execute a child, Rick ripping out a man’s throat with his teeth after almost seeing his son raped, and on and on.

I don’t doubt the Alexandrians have lost people and suffered, but I don’t believe there is any comparison. They don’t know what the world outside those walls has become.

That's a good assessment......Deanna is in denial of what the outside world really is and is trying her best to maintain a civilized utopia at the expense of the safety of the neighborhood...........

I suspect that by the end of the season the walls will be torn down and the town is going to be over run by walkers and all hell will break out........
