Rosa Parks should be on the $20 bill, not Andrew Jackson—one group is taking that argument all the way to the White House. Women make up 50 percent of the U.S. population and 85 percent of all consumer purchases, so isn’t it about time we got a face on some legal tender? Women on 20s is a nonprofit on a mission to make a woman on the $20 bill a reality.

“This is designed to be a grassroots campaign. We want this to come from the people,” says Susan Ades Stone, executive director and strategist of Women on 20s.

“This is a doable mission.”

There’s already a Susan B. Anthony Dollar coin, so I don’t see why the proposal is necessary...

Martha Washington was on the one dollar bill in 1886. Why not bring that one back.

But they get a little crabby if you slip those Susan B. Anthony coins into their G-strings.

I like that.

Better than a $500 bill -- Dear Lord, I hope we don't need that in ordinary commerce! -- let's put American sports figures on the $5 bill instead of women. I'd start with Babe Ruth too. After ten years, I'd go with Ty Cobb.

Eugene V Debs would be better or how about John Reed from the movie “Reds”. Those commies at least were American commies.

Which means Jackson on the twenty, something they're apparently trying to do, and Roosevelt on the dime. Big change.

And Kennedy on the half dollar.

Since I’m always handing $20 bills over to my wife, I figure we might as well put her picture on them.
