I have nothing against religion, but a devotion (dharma) to a specific religious belief does not exactly line up with calm, rational decision-making on that subject.
I wouldn’t suggest putting Orthodox Jews in charge of writing care specifications for swine.
Or devout Mormons in charge of the wine tasting.
Sounds like a lousy theologian to me anyhow, even if the religion in question is Hindu.
Even they believe in a more competent deity than he’s giving credit for. He’s asking for what they would call karma trouble.
