Sean Penn surfs, shoots, sprints, punches and fights for his life in the geopolitical thriller "The Gunman." At age 54, it's easy to assume that Penn, as a rogue ex-special forces officer, is drifting into territory that Liam Neeson claimed just a few years ago with a series of action-heavy box office hits.

Does that mean he is not going to pretend to be a patriotic American who values his right to use a gun to protect himself and his family and after making a bunch of money reveal the truth that he is an anti-American gun hating liberal? Seriously though, I remember Shawn Pinhead could not even get his boat motor started during a staged Katrina rescue, they expect us to believe he is Special Forces material? That’s funny.

I don't like anything about Sean Penn.

Except: He's a damn good actor.

An America hating, communist propagandist, red-diaper baby.

His attempt at humour in the Oscars was revealing.
If a Conservative had bludgeoned that line like that, to role with a metaphor, it would have been curtains for a career.

Won't see any Sean Penn movies. Won't pay to see any Liam Neeson movies anymore.

I find it Ironic that a man who played Michael Collins is now advocating for gun control. It's like he didn't learn a freakin thing from Irish History or his role as that Iconic man.

Same hear.
I love Danny Ocean... can’t stand George Clooney.
I love Jason Bourne... can’t stand Matt Damon.

If I have an actor I like I just pray they don’t open their mouths off camera and ruin it for me.

“Penn notes that though there are real world parallels in “The Gunman,” that it’s not meant to be a political movie.”

In other words, he needs some money, so he knows he has to leave the politics out of it.

It makes me ill to see these gun-control lefties making comic-book shoot-em-up movies and then attack my constitutional rights.

The same Sean Penn who at the behest of his current liberal flake female acquaintance, turned a large part of his personal gun collection into a sculpture.

This is an excerpt of Penn meeting with a couple of South African “sources” (whatever that means) in Venezuela, Penn appears to think that he is the tough guy at the table because he ordered hard liquor and these two professionals are drinking water, after all he has played a soldier in the movies.

“Call it irksome. Call it what you will, but a source is a source. We exchanged greetings by way of grunts. I took a seat and ordered Johnny Walker Black. It had been years since I ordered Johnny Walker Black. Pathetically I might have wanted to be one of the boys for a moment. They ordered a bubbly water a piece, and it was on. I was Al Capone, motherfucker, and they were a pair of Perrier pansy John Wayne’s. “Whatcha got for me?”

Uninterestingly, they turned out to be a couple of gents, South African though they were. In practice, their job in Venezuela was logistical. One, organized the patrolling of waterways by their company, contracted by the Venezuelan government to aid in drug interdiction. The other strategized jungle patrols on the Colombian border.”
