Thank you for the *ping*, Dudess! ;-)
Don’t mess with Country. It was fun posting on their fan page telling them off way back when.
Sounds like the idiot who wrote this hates Texas and Texans. Time to hit the bricks and head for Than Franthithco.
Good riddance.
It is a rambling mess of fallacies, no?
I've talked with people about this. If she had had a little more wisdom, she would have just shut her mouth, and she would still be on tour and making a lot of money.
I think that what happened to the Dixie Chicks did sink in to a lot of other groups. On the other hand, groups like Zac Brown and Rascal Flatts are openly patriotic and they are still going strong.
She can say anything shr wants and others are free to respond. The author is either stupid or ... Really stupid?
Thanks

The author rambles a great deal and conflates various issues. To better answer your question, he is a nitwit who possibly hopes that his article will gain for him entrée to Natalie’s knickers.
Lol
There’s plenty of comments on Facebook. Good battle going on between her followers and those who despise her.

That was one of the strangest requests for forgiveness from an audience I have ever seen. Looked at in a more positive way, she wants to be Hollywood, instead of country, and hasn’t figured out that Hollywood only wanted her for one shining moment that had NOTHING to do with her music.
Now she can’t make it in Hollywood, and Country really does not want her back.
It is not a marketing mystery, but her PR people...if she has any left...should let her in on the secret.

Quite a few people reminding the Author that Lubbock offered an olive branch and that Nat promptly incinerated it.
Something tells me that she is too self-absorbed to listen to any advice that may actually help her.
Go to the site and check out the photo of Wes. Explains everything he wrote. Nice swim goggles, Wes. And the rest of the staff is equally wanna-be, too.
Oh, and this Deeeeeeeep Thinker weighs-in on the Letter to Iran.
Dude!
Anytime! :)
Author is apparently too lazy to even look up what she said.
Here’s the quote from a concert in England.
“Just so you know, we’re on the good side with y’all. We do not want this war, this violence, and we’re ashamed that the President of the United States is from Texas.”
The word “embarassed” is not used.
The statement is arguably as much an attack on Texas as on Bush. Which, reasonably enough, just might upset Texans.
