Is this 3D printer worth it?
Seems like a good entry level, home hobbiest and tinkering tool.
Anyone have one already and can you tell us about your learning curve?

Tell me about it.

Good old days? Was that at 300 baud or 1200?
And here I’m excited about finding a Singer Pixie. Pfft
Going in the survival stash.
But nowadays the printer function is part of the operating system.
In the "good old days" of which I speak, each individual program had to support your model of printer if you wanted your dot matrix printer to print out graphics or custom fonts. WordPerfect, Lotus 1-2-3, etc. each had to have the correct driver for your printer.
If your program didn't support your printer, if you were lucky it would default to a basic text output.
Serial cable, 8N1.
150. Who needs 300?? You crazy kids, with your internets and your 300 baud and your bell bottom trousers and your long hair.
Good old days? I remember when plotters were more common than printers.
“Good old days? I remember when plotters were more common than printers.”
I had the latest .... HP-85 desktop with plotter running VisiCalc.
Printers outnumbered me 4:1.
“Prepare for lots of frustration.”
Same as applies to hobby lathes.
“Whatcha gonna make with that?
“Scrap”
Have a little fun and tell her you are going to make your own woman.
Well replacement parts for the copter, for sure.
Maybe some nice custom holsters and magazine holders. Get the plastic spool in black.

Some day her prints will come
Visit the user forum for any printer you are thinking of buying. Each model has its followers and each one has its quirks. I found that if there is a helpful group that deals with your problems (no matter the model) then you are miles ahead.
I had both a MakerGear Mendel Prusa and now a MakerGear M2. Yeah, it’s fun (and productive).
It’s on my Amazon wishlist as well.
Speaking of Dremel - has anyone else had issues with their brushes disintegrating in their standard tools? I’ve had 2 now in 2 years and it’s frustratiing me because they had such good quality before.
