Let's get this out of the way first: If Tim Tebow's workout-gone-viral had been a revelation to the Eagles on Monday, he'd likely now be arranging logistics to spend the spring in Philadelphia.
Tebow remains, more than anything else, a curiosity in NFL circles.
According to one team official in Philly, the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner did "fine." Sometimes, these tire-kickings are favors to players, to get them back on the radar. And this one, at the very least, did that for Tebow.
So ... what next?

I say give TT one more chance - a real chance (not like the Jets), and let this time be make or break for good.
While Tebow may lack in certain areas, he’s better than some of these QB’s the media fawns over every year. People like Teddy Bridgewater and Marc Sanchez for example. Donovan McNabb wasn’t exactly a superstar either.
Many of these guys got every conceivable opportunity from their team and, incidentally, the sports media as well.
The guy is NOT a pro style QB...granted he won some in Denver, but completed 44% of his passes in an offence that was simplified by Fox to fit Tebow.
How very true. Some of these “STARS”are kept around at big money. Never win. TT is a winner. I am sure he can hand off the ball just as good as anyone. I am sure he can run the ball much better than most QB’s. He was blackballed while guys like Orton, Cutler, Jackson, Vick, sanchez were all given many opportunities to succeed and failed to do so.
I think Chip Kelly is very smart. Does it cost him anything to take a look at TT? I don’t think so. There are many poor QB’s in the NFL. I doubt TT could hurt anyone as a back up. Not even an Eagles Fan but think this is a great move. TT and Murray in the backfield with Sproles running wild. First person who steps up on D is going to leave someone wide open. Claussen and Quinn don’t bring that to the table but are treated very well in the NFL.

Now, if you were to say that Tebow lacks the situational awareness skill to adapt to defenses after the snap, as others have said, then lets find that dirt once and for all.
I agree that the Jets were not a fair chance, because the front line never gave Tebow the protection that any QB needs.

Given that no team wants Tebow to be even a 2nd or 3rd stringer in a quarterback-starved league, one need not be a scout to recognize the obvious regarding his skills.
How do you explain Romo, Bridgewater, Geno Smith, Sanchez, Whitehurst, Orton, Cam Newton, and Matthew Stafford for starters?

He won his first 6 of 7.
And then proceeded to lose 4 of his last 5.
With 2 of those losses being to sub 500 teams (the 7-9 chiefs and the 6-10 bills). In those 2 games he was a combined 19-51 (37% completion rate).
This would be Tebow's fourth shot as opposed to two for Sams.
When you look at it that way you realize just how bad Tebow is if he's out of football and all of those guys aren't.
All of them have a higher completion percentage than Tebow.
If Tebow really wants in he doesn’t need private training. He needs game reps. Take a page from other guys rejected by the NFL who found a way back: play somewhere else. AFL and CFL would both take him, that gives him not just practice but opportunities read defenses and hone his game.
You don’t need to be a pro scout to evaluate his play. Did I mention he also has two left feet?

Tebow was supposed to have been a changed player two years ago with his throwing motion fixed and his accuracy spot on. Ron Jaworski was waxing poeting about him, Vinnie Testaverde said he was a can't miss. And then he gets the chance with the Patriots and some of the best winning minds in football looked at him long and hard and said, "No thanks." Why should we believe that this time is different?
I hate to tell you, but Tebow’s average QBR was lower than all those guys most recent year.
