A friend of mine has a Subaru he bought used with ~125K miles on it, and it has over 250K on it now and he’s never changed the oil in it.
You do not need to change oil if the car burns a quart every few thousand miles and you keep adding oil to it.
My dad used to say that you never needed to change the oil in your car, just the filter. And of course add oil to make up what you lost in the filter. He was the master mechanic foreman of a rebar still mill and worked with hydraulics all the time.
I have 80K on my Camry and haven’t change the oil - I pay someone to do it for me.
It must be burning oil then. Eventually, the filter will surrender.
Like an old diesel locomotive, if you leak enough lube oil and are constantly adding it to the tune of 5-10 gallons a day, you will never need to change the oil... just take a lube oil sample every 92 days to check for engine issues, and change the filters.
