Christian Grandma-Florist Fined $1,001, Ordered to Work Gay Weddings but Refuses

A Christian florist and grandmother who declined to provide flowers for a same-sex wedding because of her Christian belief in traditional marriage has been fined $1,001 by a Washington court and will be held liable to pay the legal fees incurred by the gay couple, which could "devastate" her financially.

As previously reported by The Christian Post, 70-year-old Barronelle Stutzman, the owner of Arlene's Flowers in Richland, Washington, was found guilty of violating the state's non-discrimination law in February, after referring Rob Ingersoll and Curt Feed to another florist when they asked her to provide the floral arrangements for their wedding.

I'd close the business, refuse to pay the fine, head for Galt's Gulch (If I weren't already there), and tell the Court and the homoextortionists to go =u(# each other.

If there is recall in that state , start a recall against the judge.

The muslim florist should be able to help them out no problem. They may even help them find the fastest way off the roof of the building also.

Prayer up is right friend,

This is a spiritual war and one they cannot win in the end,

But not enough on our side even understand this is a battle, and so this evil spirit keeps moving forward, keeps gaining traction until it has in place the necessary established law to force us to choose between it or God, leaving us nowhere to stand,

See Isaiah Chapter 5 and Matthew Chapter 18, where Jesus gives us authority to bind these evil spirits right now on this Earth,

Tending to agree...wonder just how many of these “gays denied business by a Christian” incidents actually are set-ups?

It strikes me that you are “inviting” the photographer, or caterer as a guest to you event, even though they are being paid for a service.

If you were a sodomite, and were getting “married” would you invite that crazy cousin or other nutty relative who always makes a spectacle of themselves?

Would you want a photographer who would be grossed out, or a waitstaff who might be sickened by the activities? Wouldn’t a grossed out photographer not exactly take great pictures?

There’s no do-overs on this stuff, it’s a one shot deal. Wouldn’t you be much more satisfied with the results with someone who was OK with the days activities ?

I agree. I would take it up with the judge. These judges lives can be destroyed too. The persecuted can own the rest of the judges life.

This case leads me to believe that theres an unhealthy trend developing!

The Judge needs to rethink...his decision as do all these malcontent “gay” “gibmedats”

Looking at this objectively for the future, while Christians usually offer the hand of friendship to others, this law forces them to no longer do so to homosexuals, as it exposes them to their iniquity and wrath.

And this may make religious sense in the long run. Because in “inviting them across your threshold” Christians have long exposed themselves to corruption and defilement by homosexuals, who reject their faith outright, or seek to change it to embrace homosexuality.

Forgiveness and support to sinners can only be given once the sinner has renounced their sin. Confession only works from a spirit of repentance.

Otherwise, by associating and accepting homosexuals, Christians embrace vipers to their bosom.

In practical terms, the way around this problem is for businesses that cater to weddings only do so in a contract with many churches that do not perform homosexual marriages.

Legally this works.

Churches may legally refuse to marry homosexuals. And if such a caterer, photographer, or cake baker create an exclusive contract to only support weddings held under the auspices of those churches, they are free and clear.

“We do not provide wedding services to the general public, but only through this list of churches. If someone is not being married there, by their clergy, we do not provide support for their wedding.”

This cleanly avoids the hassles caused by the state law.

She is probably a widow and God don’t cotton to those who mistreat widows.

I do not know if a florist can be compelled to bake a cake...

So, you doubt the power of the court? Why, the court is so powerful, it can compel reversal of the law of gravity, if it pleased them. I bet the court can even compel a baker to make a floral arrangement, or repair a car!

“however if 5,000 Freedom loving Americans showed up”

Do you not recognize the contradiction?

Freedom, what a concept. She should be free to deny service and the couple should be free to do whatever.

Well, she wasn’t. They decided to publicly target, trash the woman and her business.

There should be consequences for this crap.
They were and still are free to drop the case and find a different baker. They won’t.
