I’ve been using a smartwatch for months and the Apple Watch makes mine look like garbage

if this thing is running Bluetooth or wifi, how many times a day does it have to be charged?

Apple fanboi dreaming of his next status symbol... funny how he hasn’t yet even touched one but he blows off the reviews and declares it to be 20x better in every way... not 21x better , not 19x better...
Apple, when you care enough to spend the very most to show others how special you are.

**********************
I understand it can run almost a day with normal usage on a full charge... I haven’t heard if the battery is user replaceable ... My current watch goes about 5 years on a $0.99 button cell ...
People will no doubt charge it daily like their phones , the battery will go bad and in 6 months will require charging before the day is over...
What a crappy idea it is ,, just a secondary display for a mandatory computer (iPhone) that is necessarily less capable than the already existing device (iPhone).

Why do I want to wear a tracking bracelet that records all my movements and locations, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, records all my meetings (and duration of meetings) with other people wearing tracking bracelets, in order to send that metadata to Marketers and the NSA and the Federal government

Those ugly plastic bands make it look like something you would buy in a dollar store.

I've been "watching" Apple long enough to see the self-evidence of their inhumane
Transhumanist/Postgenderist self-worshiping objectives.
NO SALE.

in the interest of disclosure, I use a 20 year old Mac every day, along with the stuff I *have* to use at work, but BTW, I have no interest in owning a so-called smart phone (possibly in the same way I used to have no interest in owning a cell phone), and the Apple Watch appears to me to be a solution in search of a problem, appealing to the Koolaid drinkers. The incoherent, inchoate animus directed to Apple -- allegedly for reasons that apply at least as strongly to all other brands -- remains both distasteful and a puzzle.

this was the most intriguing announcment in the recent big reveal from Apple (when I work, I work in health care):
and here's some good news for all you LINOs (Libertarians in Name Only) out there:
and bravo!
