No, it’s not about where the fish come from. It’s just that people who grew up in certain regions are less/more likely to like fish.

I used to be able to enjoy a catfish fry occasionally too... I just cannot stand the smell - especially of raw fish

Wasabi forces you to temporarily ignore regular pain and hook up with the wasabi's (fast moving) pain "messengers which seem to have higher pain, but it doesn't last more than a few seconds.

Makes your regular pains seem really trivial.
