If Paul is not prepared for “Testy MSM”,
why does he agree to these interviews.
He is a fruit cake like his father.
The man believed his own hype and now when questioned he can’t handle it,
Paul do everyone a favor and drop out or at least be honest and go against Hillary for the Dem nomination.
Good. They give any Democrat a pass or softball questions. He doesn’t have to stand for their actions ....
He’s doing exactly what these paid parrots of the Left deserve.
Most of them have room temperatures IQs - why do you think they majored in Journalism? - and ask ridiculous questions designed to elicit gotcha responses or something that can be taken out of context and spun.
I wouldn’t vote for him in a blue moon but anyone offering the media pushback gets a tip of the Drill chapeau. It’s way, way past time for that.
Reagan knew how to handle a hostile media.
This is a new tactic by Son Of Paul: show contempt for the media, and throw red meat to the conservatives.
any law that disproportionately incarcerates people of color is repealed
Not to be overly critical, but in 100% pure honesty would this not be 99% of the criminal code in each and every state?
Perhaps I’m missing something.
Coming up: Tough interviews with Hillary where she will field brutal questions like “Have you been the smartest person in the room all your life?” or “Your list of successes as SOS is long and well-documented, was that difficult to achieve?”
I don’t remember the MSM asking Senator Barry these types of questions....demanding specifics.
Watch the video. It’s the end of the interview, the reporter says “One more question”, Rand answers, then the reporter asks another. Then Rand walks.
I get the feeling that RP threw the line about repealing laws out there because he thought it would increase his appeal to “people of color”, without thinking through the implications or having a clear ideas of the specific laws he would repeal. When pressed on that point, he is unable to provide specifics, and he gets flustered and walks off. Not a good start to his campaign... But that is what happens when you try to pander without a well planned strategy.
Did he really walk off?
That video isn’t clear on what happened, he may have been called off, and why were the lights turned off on the reporter, was everything just closing up there?
The gap is widening between Cruz and Paul. Cruz had a CNBC reporter basically tell him that everything Cruz said was a lie and Cruz spanked him with a firm slap.
Paul gets a few tough questions and snaps.
Why did he bother to go on “The guardian”?
That right there makes little sense
i seem to recall a rather testy exchange between dan rather and george HW. prior to that he was percieved as a bit of a frat boy and wimp. he gained a lot of cred following that episode, and i beleive it was a factor in GHWB’s election. is this more of same?
Gingrich is the best at pushing back at the liberal media. I was hoping Paul would also be able to but it seems not.
The perfect answer to identify a law that disproportionately incarcerates blacks.....
Welfare.
He’d have turned the tables on the interview in a heartbeat.
New headline: Does Rand Paul Want to Repeal Welfare?
He could walk that back, or not, at his leisure, but he’d be setting the meme and he’d set it somewhere between the libertarian and conservative
camps..
Plus. From that point on, that particular message resonates differently depending on the audience.
