I’d say he doesn’t look it, he is always very vivacious. I don’t know if he even looks 70. I think I’d heard of him for a long time but may not have known who he was directly.

And I guess his trademark is wildly patterned suits.

As for the game, I don’t know if there was controversy and Subban could have been suspended for a game for that one slashing penalty against Mark Stone; but it’s over now and time to move on.

Canadiens will play the winner of Tampa Bay/Detroit.

Ottawa couldn’t get a break, they accounted for themselves well. There was also that part in the last few minutes where the Montreal goalkeeper lost his helmet and the whistleblown.

The Wild only came alive this season with the goalkeeper Devan Dubnyk who before played for the Oilers, Montreal, Nashville, Arizona, even in the American Hockey League AHL...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devan_Dubnyk

But his story is one of those human interest types, I believe the poor lad lost his mother to cancer. The Wild signed him right after his wife had a baby and off he went to join them. There’s some sort of story about him.

As a kid, I listened to the St. Louis Blues on faraway blowtorch KMOX, I once sent them something and then they sent me a bunch of St. Louis Blues stuff. So, I’m not always for them but I do feel a bit any time they lose.

The two goals they gave up were both pretty soft, perhaps the 3rd goal they gave up was soft.

Well, it’s still better to make the playoffs I suppose than miss them altogether which the Blues and Wild did for a spell there.

Pred's looked like they were skating in wet concrete after that initial push early in the 1st period.

That triple OT game must have done them in, 'Hawks built for playoff hockey(stamina)...they've been there before, know what it takes to win this time of year...it's a grind for sure.

Don Cherry’s “the man”.

Subban needs to be taken out big time; he’s a punk.

I’m rooting for the Blackhawks to win it all.

He’s a national treasure. For Canada since he’s Canadian, but still.

Wild up next. I’m glad the Hawks have home ice for this one.

Great series between Ottawa and Montreal.

Last night was the first time the Senators have been shut out all year!

A great Game 7 to watch last night.

The refs “let ‘em play” with only one penalty called.

And the Islanders went down to defeat with an O for 14 in PP attempts.

With my Penguins out I will be pulling for the Capitals now. Many of the players were at one time playing at my local rink - the Hershey Bears - where I have season tickets since 2003.

Here’s bad news for Red Wings ...

Wings’ Kronwall suspended one game for charging ...

The dump truck didn’t quite reach the full “back-up” position before delivering the load.

Mine too but I’ve blown out almost all my first round picks already. Of course I’ve been rooting for the Wings all along, tho knowing the Bolts are a stronger team on paper. Now it would be a miracle if the Wings could pull off a first round win without the ‘Dumptruck’ at Tampa Bay tomorrow.

The Caps are a well built, well coached team. Will goaltending be an issue due to Holtby playing too much? The Rangers will have to play better to beat them.

In the east, I hope Tampa wins (just for a southern team to make it) still like Montreal and in the west, Anaheim.

I’m also looking to watch some WC games. Team Canada is stacked with great looking forward lines and Team America is going to play Jack Eichel.

I thought Tampa Bay looked fearsome but it did look like the Red Wings were going to beat them. Sorry Red Wings fans.....

Now, Tampa onto the Canadiens, unfortunately, this TB Lightning team impressed me, they will have a good chance vs. Montreal if the Senators almost defeated them......

Tampa looked strong. Montreal has that Michele Therrien discipline. It should be a great series.

I got about 75% of the bracket correct and a number of “how many games” except:

I messed up the Pacific West, I picked Winnipeg and Vancouver while of course, Anaheim and Calgary won. So, I’m content enough Calgary won.

The Islanders did okay, they’d been out of the playoffs for quite a few years so what happened to them seems to happen to a number of teams that finally get back into the post-season. It seems one of the NBC announcers alluded to the Islanders perhaps should have won it. I did not watch that series too closely.

Datsyuk..."the magic man"

Only thing magic about him is he scores a goal early in a series...then he "disappears".

The Lightning had a really good year... I would like to see Montreal win but...
