I was at the academy in 66 visiting my bro who was a plebe. I got lost in the crowd and my mom went balistic.

HaHa. Good for you! I remember the Baptists were always having Revivals. Lots of Baptists where I grew up. I love em all.

“What a bunch of wimps that exist today. Wish I was born back then.”

We are the ones who survived. The unlucky ones got thinned out along the way.

You could have been a private eye with that training.

Or at least written stories like Dashiell Hammett.

Now medicine is too advanced to let the wimps die.

I’ve lived a life like a man who was going to write or who should become a writer.

Since my earliest years I have sought out and collected experiences, one of my regrets is not having left home at 14 and start my adventuring, like I came so close to doing, although I did move out in high school and live on my own.

Sadly, I can’t write, and I could never be a writer, but I sure have collected a lot of experiences. I have always had people telling me to write a book about my life, and I have had writers take an interest in me and at least one that I know of, use a little of me in her writing.

Someone told me that her writing teacher had been talking about a character in the class, and when she asked if he was a real person, it turned he was , and it was me.

Got my first computer in 2001—it was an old beater 486 or Pentium (it was *ancient* by then).

Did not get the Internet installed until 2013.
