That article touts itself as the “truth” about Splenda, but there isn't a lot of truth in it. Just a lot of nonsense designed to scare people.

Perhaps. But as an early defender of Splenda and seeking to cut out all highly-processed foods from my diet, I was shocked to find out how Splenda is manufactured. Much as I was shocked to learn about ‘canola oil’. We all are subject to and influenced by advertising/propaganda at some point (guilty, here); most of us eventually wake up.

Without regards to all the other hype (all of which every non-sugar sweetener in this country has promoted one way or the other, including all the testing BS) the process described is factual.

I used to consume it daily in my diet soda (Diet Rite); I choose not to now for health & teeth reasons as a result of the facts, not emotional reaction.
