Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez said he wasn't concerned that the team signed Tim Tebow, because the Eagles told him Tebow was just there to throw in camp.
"We needed another guy to throw while Sam's (Bradford) still recovering. So that's the reason (for the signing), at least as explained to me," Sanchez said, per CSN Philadelphia.
The Eagles signed Tebow on Monday. He hasn't played in the NFL since getting cut by the Patriots at the end of training camp prior to the 2013 season. He spent last year as a television analyst for the SEC Network

If that’s not the case, Sanchez may be the first to see the door. I don’t see coach as tolerating internal squabbles playing out in the media. Sanchez is definitely not the future, so he’d be an easy one to use as an example. This coach has jettisoned one of the better receivers in the league and one of the best running backs. He’l certainly send a crappy backup packing.
Sanchez is a punk. No team he quarterbacks will ever win a championship.

I could stand Sanchez. He’s an ‘okay’ QB, but certainly not good enough to needle TT.
Maybe he is the one who should transfer to the CFL.
Mark has a very fragile ego and has the deserved rap of folding at crunch time. He played generally well for the Jets but seemed to always fail at defining moments. He did the same thing with the Eagles last year. Could not be two more different temperments. Tebow won in Denver and somehow always seemed to make important plays when given the chance.
Chip Kelly factor here, and nobody has that figured out that I know of. Except a lot of players end up being surprised by what just done happened to them.

One of the things I like about the NFL is that it is the ultimate meritocracy. If Tebow does better than Sanchez in practices, film study, and pre-season games than he stays on the roster and Sanchez goes. With that said, Sanchez has better physical tools than Tebow does and will not be shaking off two years of rust when camp opens in July.

Whether Tebow is for real or rental is irrelevant. Mark Sanchez should be thankful for Pete Carroll and Rex Ryan or else, right now, he’d be next to Matt Leinart saying, “You want fries with that?”

The Pats gave Tebow a serious chance and he showed he was not up to the task.
What Tebow lacks in skills is made up by leadership. Perhaps Kelly is hoping some of it might somehow be assimilated by Sanchez.
