Back in the '80s my girlfriend said she expected to ride into orbit. I tried to explain that the economics would prohibit that for most everyone, but she couldn't comprehend.

Similarly, "flip phone communicators" exist on earth, but don't exist on a galactic level. The infrastructure is missing.

It's a shame so many people can't see the big picture.

After my comment, I looked up a discussion about the incident on another website. Others have “concluded” that only GR could’ve done it, that he was giving her a gift and she rebuffed his advances (which then resulted in her firing). In her autobiography, she went into detail about it. She also wrote separately about GR, which she had much praise for him, but the conclusion on the part of those who read it is that if he was the culprit, she had forgiven him for it, and he had later reached out to her.
