Yeah. That’s a beauty. I still like the ones above a little better, though. But both basic body styles, IMO, are great.

“I used to see many with some kind of dog tracking rear axle location issue.”

I owned a 1967 Malibu. I was dismayed to learn GM had removed the sleeve bearings on the axle by 1967, so it was only going to be a matter of time before the wear on the axle forced the very expensive replacement of the entire axle instead of just some inexpensive bearings.

No, the 1965 model in post #5. 283 V-8 with 4 on the floor.

It was also produced more than 10 years, as noted in the article. The Chevelle was produced from 1963 (model year 1964) to 1977.

Ahhhh. Thank you. I owned two Novas (a '67 coupe and a '66 SS hardtop). Both had 327s, but the '66 was built with more horsepower when we re-did them. The SS package on a Nova was a trim-only package (at least in '66 and '67), as you could get the '66 or '67 SS with a straight-six.

I got cheap insurance as a kid, because the Nova was classed as an "Economy Vehicle" since it did come with a six...

I had a chance to buy one like this, but red, for next to nothing in the early `90s. 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302 photo: Ford Mustang Boss 302 1030797_wc3hok.jpg I'm more into Chevys but every time I see a thread like this, I kick myself for passing it up.

Back in 1974, my Father’s Business Associate had a 69 Shelby 350 Mustang. It was one of the Hertz Rental Cars.

He was selling it for $2,000 and I told him I would come by the next Morning with the Cash. I worked Swing Shift and couldn’t get there until then. Before I left to the Bank the next morning, I called him to let him know I was on the way.

He said, oh, I sold it last night. If I could have reached through the Phone and strangled him, I would have. Never talked to the Guy again and my Wife keeps telling me to let it go. 40 Years later, it still pisses me off.

“It is nice to like older things but being old doesn’t make things better.”

Well, you don't need to park that 65 Dodge Dart in a Faraday box to prevent damage from a stinger device --- I'm just sayin.

Yeah, I’ve been reading up on that thing. Is it a “Stinger” or Stingray?

My '66 was almost exactly the same color as the Yellow '66 SS with the big cowl induction hood on it (with the stupid "Pimp'n" license plate on the front). I haven't owned that car since about 1991, and only owned it/drove it from about 1985 to 1991. The guy who's owned it since 1991 still has people talk to him about it being my Nova, not his... When I go back to visit, I occasionally run into someone who talks about seeing my Nova running around town.

I'd love to buy it back from the guy, but it's probably octupled in price since I sold it to him, and he'll probably be buried in it.

i’ve heard both but Stingray to me means a Corvette. Anyway the whole EMP thing is just the tip of the iceberg. The very concept that some computer operator three states away could shut down my ignition, lock my doors, or even use the hands free phone to listen in to private conversations in my car gives me a really good reason to relearn how set the dwell.
