Lumber Liquidators is stopping the sale of all its Chinese laminate flooring, a week after disclosing that the Justice Department is seeking criminal charges against the specialty retailer in an investigation over imported products.

And, in typical 60 Minutes fashion, they didn't provide ONE shred of evidence of anyone getting sick because of it. It's right up there with THE "cell phones cause cancer" BS.

Who remembers all of the Chines drywall which was sold with excessive levels of sulfur? In ten years or so, all of the metal near them starts to corrode which cause really, really nasty electrical problems, among other things.

And, in typical 60 Minutes fashion, they didn't provide ONE shred of evidence of anyone getting sick because of it.

It's long-term exposure to formaldehyde that is particularly dangerous. So I'm not surprised that there is no real evidence at this time.

It will take many years of observation before anything conclusive is known, one way or the other.

So should there be concern now? I actually don't know. That's above my pay grade. But the fact that there is no evidence now says nothing, either way.

I remember when Fedzilla destroyed the lumber industry in Oregon because the spotted owl just couldn't possibly live anywhere else.

Not long afterward, they found a pair nesting in the tent formed by the huge "A" at the local K-MART. Or was it a Wal-Mart?

In either case, Fedzilla remained unmoved and thousands of displaced workers in Oregon remained jobless.
