A few of the things on the list I'd never even heard of before (wrist twist?), but I got a grin over a lot of them. I'd totally forgotten about vent windows, and remember nearly every family car we ever had when I was a kid had front bench seats.

One thing they didn't list, but thankfully also is largely a thing of the past: the rear-wheel-drive "hump" in the back seat of the family sedan. Being the youngest in my family, I *always* ended up getting stuck with the hump on family road trips. Argh!

A bit out of date. Not only have they done away with full sized spares, they are now phasing out ANY spare.

Also known as a ‘suicide knob’. Illegal in my state, IIRC.

Well, lets see,
My vehicle has crank windows, an ash try, CD player (wife has a tape player in her car), dial radio and a full size spare, plus doors that can only be opened by sticking the key in the lock (no buttons on key of any kind). And no, not trading it in for a new one, it’s a keeper.

What about cigarette lighters?

They became car power sockets. The plug-in, though, with the heating element, is history.

The family car was a 1982 Pontiac LeMans when I was in my teens. The back-door windows didn't roll down; each one had a small vent window. The car didn't have A/C, and those two little windows did a pretty good job of creating a cooling breeze even on hot days. But they were noisy, and if we were on vacation and driving cross-country for 8-10 hours in a day, it really got on my nerves.
