8 Baby Ducklings Rescued From Storm Drain Near Busy Freeway, Reunited With Mom
CBS San Francisco ^ | May 30, 2015

There was a happy ending for some baby ducklings trapped in a storm drain near Interstate 680, in Concord Saturday.

A Good Samaritan noticed them around noon near the Willow Pass off-ramp and called the fire department.

When fire crews arrived, they successfully removed the eight ducklings from the storm drain and reunited them with their parent.

According to a Contra Costa Fire Department dispatcher, the firefighters scooped them up and put them in a bag. Then they moved them to the other side of the road where mama duck was waiting.

Beautiful. Do these same individuals make an effort to save a human being aborted?

“Do these same individuals make an effort to save a human being aborted?”

Do mother ducks abort their ducklings? Humans are evil.

“Humans are evil.”

You got that right. Animals always have a good reason for what they do. Humans hardly ever do.

No Worries! The ducks & the delta smelt will save the world from the evil humans. I witness it every day! When ever nature spreads fire with lightning in dry forests, ducks, squirrels, and smelt pick up fire hoses and put out the fires!

As those small wheels turn
Fifty miles to the gallon
And their knees on their chest
They’re gonna save enough gas
For all of the rest
In a Yugo

Then one day on the interstate
They suddenly lose control
They swerve to miss a baby duck
They’re squashed beneath a produce truck

“Animals always have a good reason for what they do.”

Could this be because for the most part they lack emotions? They do what is instinctive, or natural?

A human motto is “If it feels good, doing”. We are feelings and emotions based. If it feels right to abort a baby, do it! If it feels right to be a homosexual, do it! And dam anyone that hurts our feelings or tries to correct our behavior.

Fortunately about half of us have a moral compass and enough intellect to keep our emotions in check.

They should have notified CPS. This mother was negligent and needs to be watched!

Abort? No.

Abandon? Yes.

Many times a 'mother' in the animal kingdom will ostracize a newborn. It is difficult to say why, but it happens.

“Could this be because for the most part they lack emotions?”

I think animals do have emotions, but they don’t make decisions based on them. What we humans would call horrible in the animal world, say dolphins “raping” other dolphins or male hippos killing the young of the female hippos so as they can mate with the females, is done for the purpose of the survival of the species. Humans harm other humans due to selfish reasons like pleasure, revenge, convenience, etc. We are totally nonsensical and evil creatures. Animals often mourn when their babies are killed. Humans go out and kill our babies.

“Many times a ‘mother’ in the animal kingdom will ostracize a newborn. It is difficult to say why, but it happens.”

Aren’t those babies who the mother ostracizes often weaker and, therefore, more likely to die? They aren’t worth the energy to keep alive. Instead of trying to feed an offspring that is bound to die, you can provide more nourishment to those that are more likely to live. That’s actually pragmatic in survival situations. Now, us humans who have “higher” reasoning skills and the technology to save our young and who don’t typically live in survival mode choose to not just abandon our weak ones, but decide to kill them ourselves.
