Over-brushing your teeth can lead to tooth loss and that can eventually lead to dementia due to nutrient loss via not wanting to chew your food with crappy choppers. It depends on what you are brushing your teeth with. If you are using toothpaste with pumice in it, it could happen. Pumice is harder than enamel.
