It’s definitely worth your time to do so, brother.
Also “Goodbye Darkness” by William Manchester if you get the chance.
Our People.. Our History... Our Heritage. There is no one or anything else like us in history.
It’s “Goodbye, Darkness: A Memoir of the Pacific War”.
An amazing book. Manchester was one hell of a writer, and it was his personal story, which really brought it home.
Robert Leckie was another brilliant writer; “Helmet for my Pillow” should be in every library, along with his “For A Few Acres of Snow: A Saga Of the French and Indian War”.
