“”He didn’t know where his parents were. He was locked out of his house. And he didn’t have access to emergency services, shelter, food, things like that,” Bianchi said.”

So this Good neighbor” would not have allowed the boy to use their phone to call 911 if needed? Or use their bathroom, or give him a drink of water? Would they let him starve, like that would happen in 90 minutes? Some neighbor huh. I am shocked that the cops even took this call seriously.

Thank you for pointing this out. I think the big story here is what an a..hole the neighbor is. They called police for something that they could have looked into themselves.

"I am shocked that the cops even took this call seriously."

My thought as well. Checking on the kid is one thing but arresting the parents for felony negligence? Give me a break.

Reminds me of the time when I lived in a townhouse complex in Arizona. The streets were narrow and corners tight. One day a policeman showed up at my front door saying that a woman in the complex had complained that my truck had come too close to her car and almost hit her vehicle. I looked at him with a quizzical look for a moment and asked if there was a collision or any damage. He said, well no, but that he was just following up on the complaint. I asked him if there wasn't a collision or a crime involved, why was he even at my door? He hesitated for a second and then laughed and told me I was right. He apologized for bothering me and left without further ado.
