I just want to share an amazing moment I just had at the gas station. As I'm pulling in to fill up I see a car stalling just as it turns into the station. I see an older gentlemen wheezing and sweating and pushing. Its over 100 degrees here and it feels like 110 with the heat index.
He calls out and says "young lady!" But he stops to catch his breath so I run over wanting to help push. He said no m'am I'll push it. I protested and and told him I was strong.
While this is happening another guy stops jumps out and pushes the car. He needed money to put gas in his car. So I ran to get my wallet. He asked for 6 dollars. I filled his tank.
He is on his way to the Charleston AME Church. He had one eye and one leg. He lost them in Desert Storm. We hugged. We exchanged praises.
I tell this story because it is good. It should be shared. I prayed for opportunities to serve where needed and the Lord provided.
The other person who got out to help was white. Another person pumping gas was black she witnessed the whole thing and said to me "God will bless you"
I feel as though that moment was my blessing. I too am on my way downtown to walk to the AME church to pray and serve. I'm bringing my 3 boys who also witnessed the whole thing
This thread needs to be Breaking News ... for days. As another poster said, this is the real America, not the one the liberals are trying to create for their own evil and selfish ends.
More good stuff that is obliterating the leftists attempt at using this to push an agenda!
Good can rise from evil - so happy to hear this story.
Am not at all surprised to hear this. I have always believed there is an inherent goodness in mostly all Americans. God has patiently watched over us for as long as we have been here. I just know that He will not stop now, or ever. I pray that we will remain worthy of His blessings.
We must not stop praying.
White people are wonderful.
I’m just saying . . .
Laz’s story was funnier.....
Great story...
THAT was a great story. CLyburn and Sharpton must be apoplectic about a story like that.
By the way, where was race-baiting Sharpton anyhow?
No rioting...no burning of businesses...no Sharpton?
bttt
It wasn't that long ago I became invisible to young ladies.
By his own admission, he attacked them because they were black. Their Christianity had nothing to do with it. This anomaly aside, however, Christian's around the world are attacked far more often and with far less press coverage than should be allowed to silently happen.
Thanks, God Bless You, Him and All doing the Right things.
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom he is pleased!” Luke 2:14(rsv)
a beautiful story but there is something most people don’t realize - this goes on all the time - in the South.
I have seen similar instances of people to people love and caring without regard to race with my own eyes - and it is not unusual -
That is the warped reality that Roof imposed on his actions. However, the people he killed were not the ones who most angered him as revealed by his Google searches for black on white crime. His victims were by no means thugs. They merely shared a physicsl characteristic with some thugs.
“Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good”. Romans 12:21.
Awesome!
Seriously? Seriously, you might not believe it, but things like this happen in the humdrum of EVERY DAY LIFE... and yet there is no cell phone there to take a selfie to upload onto instagram or facebook or whatever the latest “HEY! LOOK AT ME HIKING IN THE HIMILAYAS!” social media cell phone “app”.
I guess that means it never happened if you can’t upload it to the cloud.
Vanity... definitely my favorite sin.
Are my eyes going bad... or is every cell phone picture lately overexposed? Even my own phone is doing it.
For sure God will bless you and yours!
Not sure what you mean by this but seems like an odd thing to just be saying.
Those of us who live here in SC knew the difference between how the North would have handled this verses the South would be like the difference between night and day. People not here just cannot understand how we all live together here, it is nothing like the north yet we are assumed to be the racists.
