How about posting some of your favorite songs about Fathers.
Eric Clapton-My father`s eyes

Aaron Tippin - You’ve Got To Stand For Something

Mike & The Mechanics - The Living Years

Though certainly not a “favorite,” the song I remember most about fathers is Harry Chapin’s Cat’s in the Cradle. It’s emotionally crippling.
Yeah, I was thinking of that song too.
The first one I thought of was “ The Living Years”. Makes me sad even though I was able to tell my dad how I felt before he died.
“Turn Around” - Kingston Trio

“My Dad” by Ricky Nelson
Cats in the Cradle or some such by Harry Chapin. Someone help me out on this one. LOL
Or Paul Petersen. Well anyway not Bette Davis.
So, in second place would be this song

Merle singing Daddy Frank. The sound quality is not the best, but I chose this video because it's an old one of his, 1972.
Sorry about the link.

Here’s a great father and son song to each other...I wish every black man and his father would hear it....together or apart.
Am praying for black father’s and their sons especially this day!....
Alain Clark - Father & Friend (Official Video)

For those whose “Daddies aren’t here anymore”.....
Luther Vandross - “Dance With My Father Again”

LOL! It’s a great song and so is Merle’s Daddy Frank. I couldn’t begin to estimate how many times I’ve listened to both of them through the years. Thanks for linking.
Bruce Jenner’s might be “A Boy Named Sue”
