Yeah, what Roberts does there is say that he gives the benefit of the doubt that the law was designed to make things better and work as designed and intended.
Like I said yesterday, this decision is just a giant cop out. Roberts is setting it up so that the Supreme Court can pass the buck and not be blamed if/when Obamacare implodes.
I just have to wonder who has what on Roberts?
Research how he adopted his European children via Brazil and you might have an idea.

Karmic justice would be for Roberts to fall ill with some horrible wasting disease and need a treatment that was abandoned by Obamacare because it was too expensive and not approved for the masses.

What no one is reporting is that the pressure came from the insurance companies.
At least two major insurance companies would have been on the verge of bankruptcy had the decision gone the other way.
Already, the insurance companies are being forced to merge. Aetna is likely going to buy Humana, and Wellpoint will likely buy Cigna. Within a few years, there will be just a handful of insurance payers. This is what will cement SCOTUScare in place,and what will make it nearly impossible to institute free market reforms.
Roberts is a corporatist hack.
Now,the charges against Hastert will be dropped!
Since it has been a decade or more since then, how could that be held against him now?
After all, the kids are too old for Ireland to take from him.

Any moron can see that when the courts start divining the intentions of legislation, it opens up a giant can of worms, not the least of which is morphing us from a nation of laws to a nation of men.
I don’t think Roberts is a moron (although other choice words seem to apply), so he’s either being blackmailed, or he’s a traitor to our republic. Maybe both.
Does the average citizen now get to use the intention of the law rather than its plain language? How about the police, prosecutors, lower courts? Who decides what the legislature intended?
We will likely never know all of what was involved, what laws were broken and any on going fraud. Obama could destroy him just with the disclosure of his criminal past.
Just the opposite. When Roberts rewrote the law (twice) it truly became SCOTUScare. He owns it, lock, stock and barrel now, and when it shudders to an ignominious halted heap, it will be the fault of 6 black robed houdinis.
