Jasper Spires boarded the Red Line Metro train at Rhode Island Avenue shortly before 1 p.m. Saturday, joining passengers from the District and elsewhere headed to various Fourth of July festivities, among them the Foo Fighters concert at RFK Stadium.
As the train rumbled toward its next stop, at NoMa-Gallaudet, a three-minute ride, D.C. police said, the 18-year-old Spires — who may have been high on synthetic drugs — tried to grab a cellphone tucked into the waistband of a recent American University graduate headed to a gathering with friends.
The two struggled, police said, and the terror began.

As a former police officer, I have seen similar situations ... people will freeze, doubting there ability to do anything. Afraid that if they do anything, it might be the wrong thing. They want to help, but can’t ... fear is a paralyzing thing.

I stopped watching most TV shows and ads are especially disturbing with how whites and men are often portrayed. I saw one recently where one of the Williams’ sisters intentionally served a tennis ball at a white guy in the crowd who heckled her. That is pure assault in real life. And imagine if a white athlete did that to a minority woman? Would the censors let it pass?
Attack to kill with extreme prejudice by any means necessary.

I just read this whole story and what I would say to those people on the train is: CONGRATULATIONS YOU ARE ALL A BUNCH OF TREMENDOUS FAILURES.

I have a folding knife. It's pocket sized with a big, sharp blade when unfolded, and strong. You have to squeeze hard and be careful to get it to fold up again.
I will have to find out if it's legal to carry that knife as I just keep it folded and handy at home.
It's not a pocket knife like we used to have as kids, the regular size, not the mini ones.
A good defense weapon would be one of those wire clay cutters with the wooden handles. I don't think they are illegal. The only problem with that kind of defense is you have to get up close and personal at high risk to even attempt to stop something like that, preferably from behind.

Not only would there be personal risk but also legal risks with our screwed up legal system.
Things will get worse before they get better but we do have the promise that those times will be shortened for the sake of the elect. And I don't presume where we are on God's timetable.
