Missing From Scott Walker's AP Release-Common Core

“Missing from Scott Walker’s AP Press Release…Common Core”

By Donna Garner

7.13.15

Scott Walker has decided to announce for the Presidency today, but notice what has been left out of Scott Walker’s AP press release…any mention of Common Core.

Leading up to today’s launch, Scott Walker meant to tout his supposed “success” at dumping Common Core in Wisconsin; but when the grassroots people of Wisconsin caught him in a lie, he was forced to retreat from his original press release and hope nobody noticed. We noticed!

Instead of dumping Common Core as often publicly stated by Scott Walker once he decided to run for the Presidency, he simply “rebranded” the name of the Common Core assessments, calling them the “Badger Exams.” The problem is the Badger Exams have to be aligned to the Common Core. “What gets tested, gets taught.”

In reality, the school children of Wisconsin will be dumbed down and indoctrinated by the Common Core; and they will have Scott Walker to blame. (7.6.15 – “From Wisconsin Leaders: Scott Walker Playing Games with Common Core” -- http://www.educationviews.org/donna-garner-today-7-6-15-wisconsin-l...

If Scott Walker tries to deceive the American people about Common Core, what else will he do to try to fool the voters?

In contrast, I love what Ted Cruz has stated, “This Presidential election is going to boil down to one word…TRUST.”

Ted Cruz chose not to put a dropdown box on TedCruz.org that says “Issues” which is the typical format for a candidate. Instead, Ted Cruz put “Proven Record” because that is what the American people want to see – not what a candidate says he wants to do but what a candidate has ACTUALLY DONE. – Donna Garner

Here is some more for you and others here:

As well, When Giuliani was taking flak over him saying that Obama wasn’t patriotic, Walker said that he wasn’t sure either, but later flipped and said that Obama loves America.

Yip yip yip.

As a resident of WI I can tell you that the man's been vetted. What you are doing is sniping and you know it.

FWIW, Breitbart's most recent article "about Walker" consisted almost entirely of quotes from Lena Taylor and Gwen Moore.....now there's some conservative truth tellers for you.

If we lay off about half of the public school teachers, firepersons, social workers, police, assessors, regulators, administrators and commissioners, we won’t be subjected to such commie nonsense.

So support Scott Walker!

Why doesn’t Scott fulfill his promise of repealing Common Core? He has a GOP legislature and can do what he wants.

I made my final decision today on who I am going to support for prez in 2016.

This sealed the deal for me and was just the last straw.Yes, he believes it is up to the state but he also tweeted that he was “glad” that they were taking it down.

This guy just doesn’t have a clue about what is at stake in this country at this time. He’s doesn’t have what it is going to take.

Ever hear of Luther Olsen?

Probably not.

He's a Republican Senator in WI a swing district, but also married to a teacher.

He ran interference for the Teacher's Union in the hearing on Common Core, and pretty much shut the thing down.

Just because the legislature has a conservative majority doesn't mean that everything gets done. The Senate majority is thin, and every once in a while a few go rogue. Politics involves a lot of inside baseball that can complicate matters....matters too multi-faceted for those who are not intimately involved in the day to day of local politics to ever learn about.

Instead, it's much easier for SNIPERS to put out a 10 second sound byte.

Let me say this.....Walker has accomplished much for this state in a very short time. He's moved some big rocks farther than anyone who lives in this Blue Nightmare ever thought would be possible. Right to Work, Concealed Carry and Castle Doctrine, Property and Income Tax Cuts, Job Growth, Ban on Abortions after 20 weeks, and the list goes on.

Did he accomplish everything? No. But then again, I haven't heard the only perfect person to walk the earth volunteer to take the pay cut and run for President, so we need to work with who we have. People will be hard-pressed to find someone who has accomplished more for conservatives in the past decade.

At least some of them are probably afraid that he’ll decrease some of the funding to their offices. That’s one of the capabilities that his record shows.

I feel your pain. I’ve been studying all the candidates now for months and I will not vote for someone who does not keep his promises.

Why does he think he needs to involve himself in the confederate flag issue? He won’t take a stand against gay marriage, but This is an issue he weighs in on?

Walker can’t repeal it on his own. He needs the state legislature to pass a bill repealing. Then let him veto it or not.

Just like Walker can’t take 100% credit for passing any laws in WI. The Legislature passes them. Walker signs the bills into law. Without a repub legislature Walker would not have accomplished even half of what he did. He himself has said this and spoke of it in his book.

I’m from WI too. I voted for Walker each time he ran. I worked on verifying the recall spending weeks poring over signatures. I have donated money. Yes, the man was vetted for the position of Governor. Being the president is completely different. Most of these issues never came up during his elections. And if they did Walker would call them “distractions”.

He has done good for WI. There is still much work to be done here. But his running for pres has exposed much about Scott Walker that I don’t like and some opinions that I am surprised that he has.

I’ve always considered Walker a very solid REPUBLICAN. He is very much a Rep. party type of guy. He isn’t going to stray much off the reservation. He is definitely to the left of Cruz.

Just my opinion.

What Luther Olsen and other Senators are saying is that Common Core will never go away in Wisconsin, because Walker’s Big Donors want it.

Thanks for your insight and comments. I try to stay in touch with folks from Wisconsin. I’ve found many who share your views.

What works at the state level doesn’t necessarily translate to the national level, as we saw with Jimmy Carter.

One of Wall Street's most political billionaires just passed on Scott Walker
Business Insider ^ | July 9, 2015 | Linette Lopez

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) met with billionaire hedge-fund manager Dan Loeb on Wednesday, Business Insider has learned.

Walker was seeking Loeb's key financial support ahead of his all-but-certain presidential campaign, but he didn't get it. According to sources close to the situation, the sticking point was Loeb's support of same-sex marriage.

The dinner and “fireside chat” for about a dozen people with Mr. Cruz and his wife, Heidi, was at the Central Park South penthouse of Mati Weiderpass and Ian Reisner, longtime business partners who were once a couple and who have been pioneers in the gay hospitality industry.

Cruz talks to gay businessman. Is that supposed to translate to Cruz supporting the gay agenda, those he calls the “Gaystapo”?

Walkers family vacations with and hosts parties with a gay couple. What he does with his personal life is more telling.

These donors obviously support Cruz’s positions on other issues apart from gay issues. If he shunned these supporters, he would be criticized as an intolerant hater.

If you can point to any legislation or position that Cruz has ever supported that says he endorses a gay agenda, that’s one thing, but this donor business is nothing.

Oh good grief, get used to it, Walker will be the Pubbie nominee and he is the best thing to happen to the Republican party since Reagan...he denounced common core when referring to Bush. Cruz is great, a great solicitor general, will make a magnificent attorney general under president Walker.

I made my final decision today on who I am going to support for prez in 2016.

At this point (very early) there is only 1 viable candidate on the Republican ticket. He gave a very moving and informative speech today and reinforced my faith in him.

We have to make up our minds to either back a winner, or say hello to another disastrous Clinton administration.

It is nice to pick our favorite, he's dynamic, of he's so good looking, or I like his stand on whatever....but unless we get off our high horse and back a winner, we will have only ourselves to blame........just like we do now with Obama.......want more of the same....do it the same way.
