I am NOT defending illegal immigration. I do not believe I can stand behind Trump though.
Trump is alienating Mexican-Americans for no good reason.
Yes he has brought immigration to the forefront of the discussions and it is a much needed discussion. However he's doing it wrong. Any Mexican who has worked hard to become a citizen will be alienated from conservatives for generations because of some of these comments.
All I am saying is Trump is way overboard on this one....the only good it has done was to get others to start talking about it and to begin to fire up the base.
Cruz's support has been very calculated and I cannot disagree with anything that I have read Cruz say so far. For example Cruz said "I'll say this: I think Donald Trump is bringing a bold, brash presence to this presidential race," Cruz told reporters on Capitol Hill. "It's one of the reasons you're seeing so many 2016 candidates go out of their way to smack Donald Trump. They don't like a politician who speaks directly about the challenges of immigration. They don't like a politician who speaks directly about sanctuary cities, about the law enforcement and safety and security issues that are raised."

I do know for a fact that a lot of Mexicans who ARE rapists, drug traffickers, and criminals are coming here. Just peruse the dockets for any district or superior courts for proof of that. I do know that EVERY district court session I’ve attended over the last 10 years has had at least a dozen Mexicans up for DWI. I do know that someone very close to me helped some Mexicans who are here illegally to process their shipment of black tar heroin. I do know that I’ve had to attend superior court proceedings about a dozen times over the last 18 months, and in every session, there was at least one Mexican who was up for “Indecent Liberties with a Minor”.
That’s just what I know. It may not be the norm for the Mexican community, but I know what I’ve seen.

Anne Coulter dealt with these statistic in an article yesterday. Basically the numbers quoted are fudged because the studies used compared illegal aliens to the most criminally prone non aliens. So they are no more likely to be criminals than the average criminal

Many many cities, sanctuary cities for example, don’t forward their crime reports on to ICE or DHS.

These numbers are BS. They are statistically incorrect, and are being dragged out by the MSM as a false narrative.
Read her column, and she explains how they were mis-sampled.
Mexicans have been invading our country en masse, with the significant aid of the Mexican government, which has expressly been helping the least skilled and most criminal cross our borders.
No pols are addressing this and instead we get platitudes while open borders continue and tens of millions of new leftist voters are on their way to citizenship. It’s taken Trump’s plain speaking to break through and so it was necessary and good.
And these kind of cherrypicked stats are so misleading as to be false. Illegal immigrants from Mexico do commit crimes at higher rates than our regular, legal population. Sure, part of what makes the rates so high is that so many are single young men, but that doesn’t matter—they still commit more crimes than our citizenry, and even if the only crime they committed was to break into our country, they should be sent home.
Cruz is misleading as well, because he supports legalization for the 10s of millions of illegals here presently, and that would lead ultimately to close to 100 million new, predominantly leftist voters.

Come visit Eastern Washington or at least follow the newspapers online for this region. If their not killing each other with weapons, then they are killing and maiming themselves, their passengers, and the good people in other cars that are in the wrong place at the right time.
That’s not racist, its a fact. And yes I have several good friends who are of Mexican heritage.
Come to these cities and towns and watch how they prey on each other. Watch how they cram 3-4 families in a “converted garage” and charge them rent at prices you and I would pay for a nice newer apartment.
