Is this guy serious? Could Republican frontrunner Donald Trump actually win?
The Guardian ^ | Sunday 19 July 2015 07.05 EDT | Tom McCarthy

For two serene months after Donald Trump announced in March that he was forming a presidential exploratory committee, he failed to register in national political polls. People basically thought he was kidding. Donald Trump attack on John McCain war record is 'new low in US politics' Read more

Then something funny happened. Trump, the developer and reality TV star, began hiring staffers in early voting states. He travelled to political rallies. He held a campaign launch event. And his poll numbers began to climb.

Now Trump has climbed all the way to the top. In three of the last four major national political surveys, Trump is the leader in the race for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination. A Fox News survey this week had Trump ahead of the Wisconsin governor, Scott Walker, 18-15, with Jeb Bush third. Thousands of enthusiastic citizens have been flocking to Trump rallies, from Arizona to New Hampshire.

Next week it will be Trump and something else. As I and others predicted Trump is sucking all the air out of the room.

Donald is a stalking horse for Hillary. He’s saying some popular things, but its all talk.

Where’s the headline, “McCain attacks Americans who support Trump’s view on immigration... calls them ‘crazy’. Trump fires back”?

I’m supporting Trump to piss-off the Republicans (establishment), the Democrats, and the lame media.

I think he can go the distance. He will draw from the entire voter pie. All the ‘groups’ that DC panders to, and the rest of us besides.

Conservatives are not the only folks who have had enough.

Here’s how I view a Trump presidency:

Work hard
Get rich
Have fun
Teach your children to love America

Actually I just saw that one today:

http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/politics/elections/2016/2015/07/19/mccain-trump-prod-crazies-war-service-twitter-presidential-campaign/30377561/

“Did McCain prod Trump with ‘crazies’ barb?”

The media seems to have finally, after 24 hours of continual leftist group-think, realized that is a possibility.

“I think Trump has a real shot at the Presidency. Not just the GOP nomination, the presidency.
We shall see.”

If Trump keeps shooting off his mouth in an unpolitically correct, “up yours!”, tell-it-like-it-is manner, yes, he has a pretty good chance at winning.

Could Republican frontrunner Donald Trump actually win?

No. He's generating anger over immigration now but the other candidates will come up with ways to tap into that and turn it to their own benefits. After that what does he have? He has no rational solutions. And his mouth will eventually be his downfall.

I’m aware - but it’s not why I asked the questions.

So far, Trump is the one speaking specifically of solutions.

Nobody else is.

Just saying...

Trump might be a “clown”, but Hillary is an a$$ clown”. I prefer Trump to ol’ PIAPS.

Why are those our only two choices?

Oh really?

"I'll build the best fence anyone has ever seen and make Mexico pay for it." To which I ask, how?

"I'll charge Mexico $100,000 for every illegal immigrant they send." To which I ask, and how will you collect it?

"I'll replace Obamacare with something much better and much cheaper." To which again I ask, how?

"I'll bring all the jobs back America." Again, how?

"I'll make Ford cancel that plant in Mexico." Another how?

Trump is like a seagull. He's swooped in, he's squawking and crapping all over the place, and will soon swoop out once he's not having any fun any more.

He’s more specific than any other candidate.

And he’s the only one, standing up and saying the things he’s saying.

I’m all for the guy. 100%. Go Trump.

:D

Like or dislike Trump right now is very irrelevant because we’re still 16 monhts away from the election and all candidates will say or slip something that will stir “some” controversy! The main thing that every pundit is missing is that the US(S)A has changed both demographically and socially over the past 25 years and most certainly the past 10 years! The electorate has become so dumbed down that ANYONE has a chance to become President (Obama is proof of that)! Whether Trump lasts or not is anyone’s guess but this contest isn’t about which “Politican” has the best chance but wich person connects with the most amount of voters come November 2016! Right now the MAJORITY of All Americans HATE “Politicans” and Trumps is NOT seen as a “Politican”! In that sense Trump’s chances are as good as anyone in the field including Hillary!
