I was ok with McC until he endorsed Baraq Obama for POTUS in fall 2008.
That was the end of it.
I”m not convinced he was war hero....he’s demonstrated absolutely no evidence of it in the Senate for 40 plus years.....
Not for his service — he was sort of a flying Gomer Pyle. Soldiers (or cops or firefighters) are not inherently heroes when doing their jobs.
But for his integrity in staying imprisoned with his brothers in arms when offered a walk-out. THAT was heroic.

The left has never been big on the Vietnam War. And GHWB, W and McCain are/were all fighter pilots. Whatever Donald Trump imagines himself to be, he ain’t no hero.
This is a distraction from the crap Obama is doing. I don’t care whether he is or not, I care that Obama is transforming our cities.

I really don’t know. To me a war hero is someone who risks his life to save others. McCain’s status was involuntary.
From what I could tell Louie Zamprini was a hero, he refused to break. Although I have sympathy for McCain breaking under excruciating torture. That’s understandable to me.
But a hero? I honestly don’t know.
