As we witness the systematic destruction of America at the hands of Barack Obama, a flag was just raised in Washington that wasn’t American, and it’s safe to say there’s quite a few people who are unhappy about it.

“I am here to see a day of infamy,” shouted Frank Calzon, executive director of the Center for a Free Cuba, a Washington group that opposes any opening with Cuba. Infamy indeed. The oppression of the Cuban people by the government has been a hot button issue for some time, and even Democratic politicians opposed the latest move from the Obama administration.
Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) tweeted that engaging politically with the socialist nation “will only serve to further legitimize (the) repressive regime.” He added that diplomatic relations with America “are a privilege and must be earned,” and the Cuban government has failed to do so by imprisoning over 2,800 political dissidents in 2015 alone.
Other demonstrators at the flag raising ceremony said that the new relationship will only further hurt the Cuban people since nothing is being done to stop the government from committing human rights violations. Aimel Rios was in attendance, and he came to America as a political refugee in 1999, leaving his native Cuba, which is set to get a financial windfall from the new diplomatic relationship.
“I came here to raise awareness about systematic human rights violations in Cuba,” said Rios, 31, who is now a human rights worker. “If people are not free to carry out a strike, then how could they defend themselves against human rights violations?”
In an even more enraging twist to the story, America isn’t getting a similar ceremony in Cuba anytime soon, despite the U.S. Embassy opening Monday. In fact, Secretary of State John Kerry won’t be traveling to the island until later this summer, if at all, but he made sure the State Department added a Cuban flag to the hall inside its Washington headquarters, which joins flags from other nations we share diplomatic ties with.
Here we have yet another example of President Spineless failing to take a hardline approach when negotiating with another nation, only this time, he’s undone years of American grit which would have eventually forced Cuba to fall in line, all so he can add to his lackluster “legacy” before leaving office. He doesn’t seem to care that Cuba is still the same nation that helped the Soviets during the Cold War, or that is diametrically opposed to everything America stands for – freedom, equality, justice, etc. He just wants to add a notch to his belt and be able to say that thanks to him, America and Cuba have reinstated their diplomatic relationship after almost 60 years.
Well, that’s great and all, but at what point are we going to say that thanks to him, oppressive socialist regimes are thriving better than they have in over 60 years?
See, that’s a statement nobody wants to make, despite it being true. Unfortunately, it’s exactly what’s happening. Just ask the leaders of Iran, who are all but guaranteed to flourish over the new nuke deal.
I can’t believe we are trying to be friends with enemies, especially ones that want to kill us, yet as Israel is our best friend, our muslim president snubs them....very sad day in America’s History...

Castro is Marxist. Obama is a Marxist. No surprises there and they are really making a big deal about this in the MSM like Obama miraculously healed our relationship after 54 years. From what I hear its a bumpy ride and the Cubans don’t exactly like The One. I’m guessing 0 dropped him a big check in the mail to get some love.

Very misleading headline, implying some sort of disrespect to the American flag.
After all, isn't it USUAL for a country's flag to be hoisted over its embassy? Doesn't the, e.g., Belgian flag also fly over its embassy in D.C.?
