A man investigators say has been traveling across the state taking pictures of women up their skirts has been arrested.
On July 24, 2015, U.S. Marshals and members of the Arizona W.A.N.T.E.D Violent Offender Task Force arrested James Hickey, 53, in Flagstaff, AZ.
Hickey was wanted by the Flagstaff Police Department, Salt River Police Department, Phoenix Police Department, Scottsdale Police Department, Yavapai County Sheriffs Office, and Huntington Beach Police Department on felony arrest warrants for voyeurism, fourteen counts of surreptitious videotaping, and probation violation.
Investigators claim Hickey was traveling to different cities within Arizona and going to houses and apartment complexes posing as a hair dresser looking for in-home work. Once inside the residence, it is alleged Hickey would secretly record or take sexually explicit photos of people while cutting their hair.
He was also spotted allegedly taking pictures under a woman's skirt at a Phoenix Hobby Lobby.
Hickey has an extensive criminal history consisting of resisting arrest, sexual assault, possession of marijuana, assault, burglary, disorderly conduct, and shoplifting. He also served time in prison for burglary, attempt to commit surreptitious videotaping, resisting arrest, and surreptitious recording.
On Friday, Deputy U.S. Marshals and Flagstaff Police Department located and arrested Hickey arriving at an apartment complex on University Avenue on a bicycle in Flagstaff. Hickey will return to numerous jurisdictions within the state of Arizona and Huntington Beach where he will face all his charges.
This predator and others like him are a priority in our investigative efforts said United States Marshal David P. Gonzales. Finding and arresting these individuals ensures they cannot victimize anyone else."
A "gopro" camera sewn in the cape?
I’m just guessing about the mechanics.
My hairdresser usually comes to my house; sometimes I go to hers. She’s the mother of a boy who’s in Scouts with my sons.
At the famous Bill Cosby School of Hairdressing, students are taught to use general anesthesia on the customer before beginning the haircut.
Re “a straight male hairdresser:”
Rare, but theoretically possible, LOL.
Well.. there ya’ go! The cape is used during most of the washing/cutting and drying. (or the coloring for those of us who haven’t fully embraced our gray). So, I bet you figured it out! (why, oh why, does that disturb me?! :)
Why didn't I think of that! ;)
The hairdressers that come to your house fill a need: retirees that can’t get out much, stay at home Moms with little ones that won’t wait patiently for 2 hours, and very busy working women who have time in the evening. I miss mine.. she moved to West Virginia. There were some evenings that she showed up at 8 pm after the little ones were in bed. Now I go to the “traditional” gay male stylist.. and yes.. my hair looks fantastic. :)
I had a straight man hairdresser in San Antonio, but since then, I’ve always had women. Jamie usually comes over in the afternoon, brings her sons if they aren’t in school, and cuts three or four of us.
