A Gravis Marketing poll released on July 31st confirms that Donald Trump has become the face of the Republican Party. Sure, party insiders and pundits are still trying to distance themselves from Trump’s toxic rhetoric, but much to their chagrin, Republican voters are embracing Trump’s politics of derision and division.

The Gravis Marketing poll found Trump surging to a huge lead in Iowa. Trump polled at 31 percent in the GOP field, followed by Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker at 15 percent, and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush at 10 percent. Several other Republican candidates were mired in the single digits.

31 percent in this poll. More than double his next competitor.

Not bad, Donald.

Oh no. A person that the MSM put on prime time for years is not “the face of the GOP.”

How will we survive this?

American citizens instinctively know that when large numbers of people move into your country without your permission bringing with them their language and culture it is not immigration.
It is colonization.

Trump is promising to build a real barrier to stop it.

The citizens have been fighting both parties to stop the illegal alien inundation.

Trump has taken the most from Jeb and Rubio.

SO, if he ever does bow out — will he throw his support to Cruz?

Trump has taken the most from Jeb and Rubio.

They had the most to give. I'd like to see Cruz take some from Christie and the other dwarves, and for the two of them to rise together.

Trump realizes Cruz is but a shadow of who he is.

The real purveyor of toxic rhetoric, derision and division is Obama. Trump is the un-politician who is captivating voters because he is the antithesis of Obama.

"Trump realizes Cruz is but a shadow of who he is."

If by that you mean shadow of a jerk, then you might have a case. I can't imagine Cruz calling Michelle Malkin "born stupid", a "dummy", implying she had some shameful secret in her past, and letting his fans call her an Asian prostitute.

Ted's a gentleman, you see.

But if you meant Trump is the better man....

LOL!

The author of this article is a worm.

Nothing that Trump has said is “toxic.” Everything he has Said was commonly acceptable speech less than 40 years ago.

What has frightened the Shiite out of the ruling class is that what he says appeals to both middle class Republicans and Democrats.

I like what Trump says...but I’m still a Cruz supported. One thing about a possible Trump Presidency - he will favor American business. As a businessman, he know what it takes to compete. I would love to see him issue executive orders canceling all the governmental restrictions on business. It will be like the 1980s all over again!

Typical of politicians, If you do not like what they have to offer, they force it on you.

Trump on the other and sells you what you want. Any wonder he is popular.

BTW, does anyone know how to drop a picture in a reply? Can’t seem to know how.
