That isn’t necessarily true.

“I’m a better Christian than you”.

Kasich claims he’s Christian but says organized religion is “waste of time”. He belittles those that go to church.

When asked would he go to a same-sex “marriage”, his answer was short “sure, I’ve got plenty of gay friends and have went to their marriages”. This guy is a perfect example of a RINO. If Jeb Bush gets to lose to Hillary Clinton in the general election Kasich will go down with him because he’ll be on the bottom of the ticket.

Actually, if you listen to a few of his speeches, he has tons of personality. It doesn’t come across so much when he is interviewed on tv, because he is on a time limit to say what he has to say. However, when in front of a live crowd, he is quite witty and charming.

I sure don’t know which gay weddings he attended, because, until the SC ruling, gay marriage wasn’t legal in Ohio. some people really love to tell lies, don’t they?

Some are so ill informed that they don’t know the difference between Medicare and Medicaid. Buy a vowel.

Ideology – Trump leads Walker 27% to 16% among very conservative voters; has 22% support among somewhat conservative voters to 14% for Bush and 12% for Walker; and takes 28% of the moderate to liberal voter compared to 20% for Bush.

Tea Party – Tea Party supporters back Trump (35%) over Walker (15%) and Cruz (11%). Non-Tea Party supporters split their top support between Trump (20%) and Bush (16%).

Kasich, a Republican who was raised Catholic but became a Protestant after his parents were killed by a drunken driver in 1987, cites God regularly in public, such as in justifying the building of a Holocaust Memorial on the Statehouse grounds, expanding Medicaid to more than a quarter-million Ohioans, in graduation speeches, in his State of the State addresses and even during an event launching a campaign to prevent the elderly from falling. (“The Lord wants you to be strong and healthy.”)

“My faith is part of me. In terms of how it affects my public policy ... on my best days, I sort of have an eternal perspective, which is really a great thing to have, because it frees you up. You don’t get caught up in some of the things that can get in your way.

I’m not saying I’m for it. But Kasich would almost certainly deliver Ohio. Ohioans LOVE their home teams.

It will be interesting to see who drops out and climbs aboard the Trump train early. If Kasich does it could be him. I think Jindal would be a good choice and someone Trump would like. Somehow though I don’t think a Trump-Perry ticket is going to happen though.

Maybe it is about DAMN time that nearly everyone rethink what was the normal patterns may not be they way it will happen in 2016. maybe Ohio will not matter, Maybe it will be Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan or some other state that has real skin in the game, hell the people of West Virginia where coal is king might just surprise everyone. Obama is trying to kill coal fired power plants - the Northeast, Upper Midwest, and Mid Atlantic states might just shock the underwear right off the all political projectionists. It is still way to early in the game to make the prediction of who will be the chosen candidate. For all we know the POS in the White House may just refuse to leave 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and call himself Emperor Odumbo. The guy does not recognize the Constitution, probably has copies of it that he uses to wipe his backside!

Big assumption: that Kasich would carry Ohio.

Bigger assumption: that Kasich would carry ANY state.

Why not a McCain-Romney ticket, while you’re at it?

Kasich is worse than Lindsey.... He’s a scum sucking, self-engrandizing closet democrat. He is the epitome of a RINO establishment pig.

Kasich ran a real excellent campaign for re-election as Governor. His dem opponent was laughably flawed, and Kasich had great timing exploiting his weaknesses. So I could see Kasich being part of a terrific campaigning team with Trump.

The problem with Kasich? He has helped the OH economy and it's just great for pols and their buddies on the top of the corporate ladder. The problem is he has starved local budgets, to the point where local services are stretched to the breaking point. He's just not a small government kind of guy.

Way too early to make sense of the possibilities - look again in March. Making such Observations/decisions at this early stage only serve to make it a self-fulfilling prophesy by inducing folks to question whether or not to support a solid conservative like Cruz while he;s in the early consolidation/building stages - he will be getting my donations for some time to come...

Dear pogo, your analysis leaves much to be desired. ... He does come off a little arrogant, but, he really isn’t. He’s confident.

One of us is surely guilty of being arrogant, confident, and wrong, but it isn't me.

Here he is, saying what I said he said, or worse. So much for your "analysis" of my analysis: http://www.campaignforliberty.org/governor-kasich-oppose-obamacare-bad-christian http://www.cleveland.com/open/index.ssf/2013/02/kasich_invokes_the_good_book_w.html

I'd vote for him in the general, of course, and it's so sweet that you love your state's native son, but he's not in my top 15 choices in the primary.

Don't ever ping me again.

"He does the one thing we ask of any Republican: he fights!"

Yep, that's Ted Cruz. He's been fighting since his days as Solicitor General of Texas, and fighting the GOP-e in Washington ever since.

Cruz fought the Bush administration at the Supreme Court in the case of Medellin vs. Texas. Jose Medellin was an illegal Mexican who raped and killed two teenaged girls. George W. Bush wanted to cave to the "international Court of Justice" and overturn Medellin's conviction.

Texas wasn't going along with that. Cruz argued before the Supreme Court, and won. The POS was executed.
