You and me, both. That drives me nuts. The worst part is, it's like a contagious disease that's spreading across the internet.
When I was a kid in the sixties, we'd laugh when we saw a sign with a misplaced apostrophe. Even children recognized basic illiteracy in those days.
No snark intended....he does need a good tailor. The suit and tie look really bad on him. It’s an image business he’s in.
“The VP does not have any real power.”
Just because no one has made effective use of the role, doesn’t mean someone can’t. You might have noticed in recent weeks that the acting President of the Senate has a good deal of parliamentary power. In the right hands, it could be quite useful. The turtle might find it very uncomfortable if the President of the Senate took a keen interest in him.
I like Carly. She is good at handling the media. Thanks to media, most people don’t even k’m ow there is a republican woman running.
LOL
Me too! I wear her tee shirt now here in TX.
Shutdown of federal government over OBAMACARE and explicit mention of Ted Cruz by Donald Trump is more focused than just defunding PP.
I am very old, 81, and wonder if students these days are taught ANY grammar. I remember those hot days in school (no one had air conditioning), studying/writing sentences that had to be complete. Also remember English tests and those sentences written had to have proper subject, proper verb, proper adverb, prepositions, adjectives, etc.. Diagramming sentences was done over and over, year after year.
I was a teacher in elementary school, then a school counselor/psychological examiner and through all those years students still learned grammar. I was the coordinator and counselor/psychological examiner after that in a Junior college and they still learned grammar there. These years with direct contact with schools ended in 1989.
After 1989, I don't know what schools taught but I think students after that time, started a downward grammar slide.
Maybe someone on this thread has kids in school and know if grammar is still taught.
True. But today’s students know how to put a condom on a cucumber. Much more important than knowing how to communicate orally and in writing./S
Yes, those people's are like octopus's. You's can't help but notice all the arm's.
That is one awesome pair of dudes.
