Same situation in lots of other urban areas.

Moreover, in my experience, most of the Filipina nurses are not only a lot cuter than most of their American counterparts, but they are — on average — more pleasant, polite and helpful.

(And they are definitely competent, although I can’t say “more” competent.)

On the other hand, I once dealt with an East European immigrant nurse who was a real b*tch. So the immigration thing can cut both ways.
