Upgraded a touch tech laptop from 8.1 to 10 with no problems at all.

Win 10 is primarily for touch tech devices. If you put it on a non-touch tech device you will have to adapt to some differences from the Win 7 desktop configuration. If you are trying to put it on an older machine, Win XP, Vista then if it works it will not work well. It is not for older machines and devices. Win 7 won’t work on a lot of older machines either.

Every OS has trojans that get in and that is usually because of something the user does or does not do to keep the system safe. If you’re worried about someone spying on you, make the changes that turn those settings off. ALL systems are vulnerable in the current technology, internet environment and hacking environment. If you think otherwise then you are delusional.

I upgraded a dell 1525 laptop that had Vista when purchased. We purchased it in May 0f 2008. I upgraded it when Windows 7 came out and increases Ram to 4 gb. The path to W10 was pretty much seamless.

Please enlighten me as to what these differences are. I use Windows 7 Professional at work; I have been using Windows 10 (Tech Preview, now the real thing) at home since November 2014.

Same here. I like Window 10 much better. It installed very smoothly.
