Doesn’t surprise that Illinois is first state to allow veiled ID. When driving through the state last year for the firs time, one notices that each rest stop is identified as an “oasis”.

They have been called oasis since the late 1960’s early 1970’s if not earlier.

Sorry, you are wrong. The rest areas are called rest areas. An oasis is a rest area that is on a bridge above and across the interstate. The only oasis I know of is near O’Hare airport where there really wasn’t enough land to build a conventional rest area.
