“Is that where the *oil* comes from?”

No, the oil from gulf coast Tuna comes from BP.

The Mercury and arsenic from Pacific coast Tuna is brought to you by your Friendly EPA.

Tuna mixed in equal portions Gulf Plus Pacific sourced is safe to eat since the hydrocarbons in the Gulf tuna will coat the heavy metals in the Pacific tuna and allow them to pass harmlessly through your digestive tract.

Well, all right!
I just checked the pantry.
Sure enough, Starkist is the brand my cherished DrO bought.
That and Bumble Bee?

A great tuna is the solid white from Aldi foods.

Makes two serious sandwiches per can....95% tuna in the can and a tiny bit of water.

Now you have to swear under oath .... that you're telling the truth.

You know, like Hillary swears it's the truth. I'll vouch for you! ;D

I’m waiting to see what is behind door #3. It might be a rainbow or a unicorn, or free phone.

Behind door #3 is a huge check for the lawyers of record. But I'm guessing you're not one of that lucky bunch.

Better with Best Foods here on the left coast. Made with Hellman’s the rest of the country.

Whiny Little Bobby: Mom, the tuna doesn’t taste as good as it used to.

Narrator: Millions of Americans feel the same way little Bobby does, ever since companies came out with dolphin-free tuna.

Bobby: The tuna doesn’t taste as good as it used to.

Narrator: Luckily, not every company shamelessly bends over and drops their pants for each whiny special interest group that comes along and complains about something. When animal rights activists pressured Weemsco into eliminating the dolphin in our tuna, we politely said ‘pfft. Get a life!’ Weemsco Tuna has the great dolphin flavor you grew up with. In fact, it’s chock full of dolphin because now there’s more for us to use. Weemsco Tuna tastes great because it’s a secret blend of tuna, dolphin, shark, medical waste, and dead sea turtles who choked on deflated helium balloons.

Bobby: The tuna doesn’t taste as good as it used to.

Mother: But this is Weemsco Tuna, honey. Try it!

Bobby: Mmmmmm!

StarKist Reaches $12M Class Action Settlement over Underfilled Tuna Cans http://topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/lawsuit-news/56098-starkist-reaches-12m-class-action-settlement-over-underfilled-tuna-cans/

If only $12 million that only gives the first 240,000 people their 50 dollars of tuna. If we take this viral and 10 million people file a claim what happens? Any lawyers awake?

LOL!

True story: At that same time frame I was in a restaurant for lunch with a group of guys from the office. Special that day was tuna melt.

I asked: "is that tuna dolphin free?"
"Yes of course. We only serve dolphin free tuna"
"Well, I'll have the cheeseburger. I like tuna better with some dolphin in it."

If looks could kill, I would have died on the spot.

$50 worth of Tuna would be a nice addition to my SHTF stash.

How does one prove/collect?

I recall straining the cans by pressing down on the lid after cutting loose it with a can opener. The can would typically be about half full of tuna meat. That seemed unique to Starkist brand.

Ever notice how printing on thermal paper store receipts tend to fade away after a few months? It can be a challenge to preserve them.

“I’m not even sure who buys tuna in oil as it just makes the tuna so “oily” and to me that’s not a good thing.”

I PREFER tuna with oil.

Tastes better, doesn’t spoil as easily, and is much easier to mix with mayo, or vinigrette for salads.
