What would you have done? Blasted them w your .45? Well, no. Insofar as handgun calibers, I use a Glock27 .40 cal.
And I don't take on bears with it.
If and when.. I hunt them, they don't hunt me.

The bear gave her numerous chances to retreat.If she did that, isn't it more likely the bear would have attacked her? Hopefully the bear will stay lost deep in the woods and that is that.

If you watch the video she says the following to the bears.
“Don’t be scared.”
“It’s okay.”
“Hey, you look amazing.”
“Hey. Don’t get crazy. Don’t be scared. Don’t be scared.”
The way she talks she was trying to get close to them.

If that bear were “extremely aggressive” as you say, she would be missing some limbs at the least.
Curiosity of a young animal had to be the chief element.
Aggression in bears is usually adult females, and the presence of cubs is always the chief element.
