Wow that is amazing. This man was very talented. However, it is a shame he had to hide his true identity as an American of African ancestry. Now you guys got me hook and now I’m watching all his playing on youtube LOL.

“...the bombshell revelation that he was actually born John Roland Redd, the African-American son of a Baptist preacher in Missouri.”

I thought he was going to turn out to be from Brooklyn, Missouri is still pretty exotic to me!

The mother of one of my girlfriends (way back in the '60's) was a Hammond aficionado...she thought she was really good and made me suffer through several of her "concerts", in order to date her daughter.

She had an organ that would actually play itself and she "played" that Pandit crap constantly.

I say "crap" because I've been to Turkey and that ain't Turkish music.

Be that as it may, her finger-syncing to Korla Pandit via her Hammond organ drove me out the door, which I should be grateful for, 'cause that old girlfriend now weighs about 280 lbs, has been through 4 husbands and has 6 kids.

So, thanks, Korla.

I guess.

Larry Ferrari was a better musician, not as creepy as Pandit, and on the air for 43 years: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larry_Ferrari
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFZ3VvErruo If Ferrari had not died in 1997 he would STILL be on the air today.
